How to clean your LumaDent products

Tooth dust and other debris can negatively effect the performance of your LumaDent products. It's important to clean your products regularly to ensure a long and effective life for them!

Do This

  • Unplug and detach all wires and cables before cleaning. This includes the charger.
  • Use only a soft, lint-free cloth. Microfiber Cleaning Cloths are available here. Avoid abrasive cloths like towels, paper towels, or similar items.
  • We recommend using OPTIM 1 Disinfecting Wipes (or, without those, apply mild soap and water to your cloth).
  • Wipe dry.

Don’t Do This

  • Do not use Lysol® or any disinfectants containing glutaraldehydes or iodophors.
  • Do not use alcohol or bleach to clean your products.
  • Do not use any autoclave or chemiclave machines.
  • Keep liquids away from the product. Do not use heat to dry the product.
  • Avoid getting moisture into any openings.

Product care

LumaDent products feature a durable, quality design and include a limited warranty. Here are some tips you practice to ensure a long and healthy life for your products.

Do This

  • Clean your products regularly.
  • Power off and store when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place. If you don't already have one, a durable Carrying Case is available here.
  • Unplug your battery when it becomes fully charged.
  • Use canned air to blow dust and other debris off your products.

Don’t Do This

  • Do not leave your battery charger plugged in when the battery is fully charged. This will damage the lithium cells in the battery, which will result in reduced performance and a shortened lifespan. This also applies to ANYTHING with a lithium-based battery, including cell phones.
  • Do not leave your products exposed to direct sunlight.
